YOUTH PROJECTS

Hier & Jetzt (Here & Now)

Mrs. Denise Dröge, diplom theater pedagogue and I have teamed up in 2016 for to developed an intercultural and interdisciplinary project  combining three art forms: Land Art / social sculpture, performance / video. Keywords are limits, here and now. The art forms interact mutually with each other and influence each other in the process. All three parts of the project are related to the local environment (social, natural, urban). The project had as target group  children / young people who are new in Germany and children / young people who live already in Germany. However nowadays the workshop can be conducted in a much broader sense as school project in different countries.

Through previous projects in Germany, but also abroad in countries like Taiwan or Peru, we have a good working experience with children and young people from different cultural backgrounds. The project was implemented for the first time at the exhibition We See Heaven Upside Down in Villa Novilla in Berlin-Oberschöneweide (Germany). Participants were children and students from the student club Rabenhaus

Between September and December 2016 the project was for the first time conducted with the student clubs / youth clubs Re-Mi-Li Kids and Check In, in Berlin-Oberschöneweide with the support of Bezirksamt (District Townhall) Berlin-Köpenick,Germany

Performance Workshop for children and youths with autism and for youths living in a Orphanage

The first performance and workshop took place on Saturday 20th April 2019 at the ACCEA/ NPAK Armenian Center for Contemporary Experimental Art , Yerevan, Armenia. It focused on children with autism. The participating children had different grades of autism. First I performed a short Performance related to Connected – Not Connected for the children and the audience (parents, general audience). After finishing the performance and a short talk I conducted the workshop performance with the assistance of Hasmik Tangyan (pedagogue) and Evelina Garegin Hakobyan.(student Theater and Cinematograhic Institute). All children belong to“My Way“Educational-rehabilitation Daycare Center for Children and Teenagers with Autism in Yerevan.

On 23th of April 2019 I went to the SOS-Kinderdorf  in Kotayk near Yerevan  for to give the same performance and a workshop performance. Here I I had a mixed group of children between 13 to 17 years old.The well-known pianist Nare Korayan was assisting  me. The children have partly no parents nor family or come from families where parents are unable to rise their children. Also just like the previous workshop after each step I gave a ste expalation and the oppertunity for the children to give their opinion or ask questions.

By the performance and workshop in the SOS- Kinderdorf at the end several children related the workshop to their experience and situations they encounter already in their young lifes. Furthermore boys and girls enjoyed to work together , because in most cases they do gender seperated activities
